LONDON, Monday. : French tanks, airplanes and infantry ; destroyed the Druses’ defences, and ■ captured Hasbeiya. The Druses have evacuated Lebanon. It is believed the rebellion is broken. Tlio Beirut correspondent Of The * Times says the French repccupation of 'Hbsbeiya, where, the Druses had founded a provisional Government, is expected to react importantly throughout Syria. The correspondent points out that Hasbeiya is a religious centre of the Druses, and its recapture virtually removes the menace' to Great Grand Lebanon. Tho rebels, however, are not yefc cowed, and the situation around Damascus and elsewhere is still disquieting. The general outlook is most unsatisfactory. Shelling from tho forts is a nightly occurrence, and on Novem- ■ ber 4th the rebels boldly attacked the Cadem quarter.
