FUSION POSITION.
NO DEVELOPMENT YET. For the moment the fusion negotiations appear to be at a halt. There was no news of any development yesterday, and it is not expected that anything of material importance will happen during the week-end. It is significant from this standpoint that Mr J. A. Young, Leader of the Reform delegation, and one or two of his co-delegates, will he away from Wellington for the next day or two. The same applies to many other members of the House.
It is considered certain that no further caucus of the Reform Party will be held before next Tuesday. It is understood that the .members of - the Liberal-Labour Party have decided to take ho further part in the Address-in-Reply debate until the Labour no- .• confidence amendment is out of hand.
