MINING DISASTER

MANY MINERS KILLED.

FARTS, Thursday.

Eighty miners were coming up in a

cage from the Werlenbach mine, in the Roselle region, when the cage crashed down a thousand feet.

Thirty men were raised from the pile of mangled bodies, but four since have died. The rest are shockingly injured, and there is little hope for the remainder.

The accident was due to the break ing of the cage chain. —Aus. and N.Z Cable Assn.
