The New York World’s Chicago correspondent says there is a considerable belief in Republican circles that >~enat#r Harding may make a unique appeal to the American electorate by .naming the Cabinet which he will appoint if elected. Thus the people will know who will compose the Government. . , Republican leaders are considering the following Cabinet appointments, -syhieh the people would be likely to receive favourably:—Senator Elihu Root or Senator Knox for Secretary of State: Judge Hughes, Attorney-Gen-eral; Frank A. Vanderlip, Secretary of the Treasury; General Leonard A. Wood, Secretary of War; ex-Sepator Weeks Secretary of the Navy; H. C. Hoover,. Secretary of Commerce.
