HOSPITAL BOARD.
MEETING OF CENTRAL COMMITTEE. \ The monthly meeting of the Central Committee of the Wairarapa Hospital Board was held yesterday, when the following members were, present: Messrs AV. Fisher (chair), b. Bolton, A. O. Considinc and T. V. Moore. Accounts totalling £2899 17s al were passed for payment. The matrons of the various hospitals reported the return of patients for the month to be as, follows:—Mastorton: Vdniissions 64, discharges 55, deaths 4,reniaining at May 31st, 64 Greytown: 19 22, 5, 10. Buchanan Home: 1,9, 24.' Pnhiatua: 11, 10, 0, 11. ■ Tenders were received for the erection of certain outbuildings at the Masterton and Greytown Hospitals, but as such tenders were considerably in excess of the estimated cost it was decided not to accept them. The lion, secretary of the Pongaroa Maternity Hospital submitted a report and balance-sheet for the year ended March 31st last. In receiving same it was resolved that the committee be congratulated upon the successful yqar’s woidt. .
