PROPOSED MATERNITY WARD.
AT MASTERTON HOSPITAL. At. the meeting of the Central .Committee of the Hospital Board yesterday, revised sketch plans of the proposed maternity ward were received from the Inspector-General of Hospitals which were adopted, and the architects are to be instructed to prepare ..final plans, together with a fresh contract gnd specifications, for submission to the next meeting or the Board. The chairman, stated that the chanin,B,n of the Board and himself had interviewed the Inspector-General <>* Hospitais, Dr. A'alintine, on the matter recently, ’when they were advised that, the Board should proceed with the work without further delay, in view or the fact that the Government is shortly to be asked, to sy.f aside afsuiii ot money for advancement t0..-.Hospital Boards.
