INTERESTING FIGURES. The' following market report was published in the “ Wairarapa Daily Times” on July 3rd, 1914 (jtist before the outbreak of war). When compared with to-day’s prices the report makes interesting reading:— Wheat, 4s 3d. Seed Oats, 2s 3d. Feed Oats, 2s. Barley, 2s fid. \ Maize, 5s 3d. Straw Chaff, 40s. Straw, pressed, 355. Prime, oaten-sheaf, 60s. Pollard, £7. Bran, £5 10s. „ Grass seeds: Rye (Hawke’s Bay), /s fid; Southern, 5s to 6s. Potatoes: Market rates. Butter: Dairy Sd to 9d; factory, Is lid. Cheese, 6 Id. , Eggs, Is 3d.
