Bridge remarked that on occasions there had been dissatisfaction over the placing of first, second;and third hqrscs. ,He wondered if instantaneous photographs could not be taken of the finishes of race's. From photographs'which he had seen iu illustrated papers he considered this was practicable, aud the judge would be fortified in his decisions if lie had photographs of the results of races. A member remarked that there would be one .difficulty in that the public would not like to be kept waiting for a quarter of an hour until a photographic plate was developed, in case of a close finish.
