CATTLE FAIR.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report v having ']„,]d a cattle fair in the P.F.A. yards on Monday, as follows:—VVe varded about 800 head of mostly ■rown and well-bred cattle, including some pens of well-grown station-bred bullocks. Contrary to expectations, grown bullocks were not sought after, there being move competition for young cattle. Competition was dull, and it was difficult to do business, except at a low range of prices. We quote:—*«vear Hereford steers, £8 10s; 18-montli I’.A. steers, £6: 18-month coloured steers, £2 13s, £3 to £4 10s; 18-month heifers in calf, £4 10s, £/ to £8 -s, - vear heifers in calf. £slds: store cows, £8 to £l3; m.s. weaners, 355; fat bullocks. £lO.
