THE PRINCE’S TOUR.
ENTHUSIASTIC SEND'GFF AT NELSON. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) NELSON, Tuesday. The Prince of Wales departed at 10.5 by. special train for Glenhope, Murchison and- the West Coast. Prior to iiis departure there was a great gathering of children, at which there was intense enthusiasm and flag-waving. The Prince was followed to the train by a great concourse of people to take a last farewell. ROYAL PARTY AT REEFTON. REEFTON, Tuesday. The Prince of Wales arrived at 7.30* p.m. and met with an enthusiastic reception. The streets were crowded and brilliantly illuminated. The Prince inspected the Crimean and Maori War veterans, and'returned soldiers, and attended a civic welcome at 9.30. The town is crowded, and accommodation is at a premium. THE CHRISTCHURCH VISIT.-’ ATTITUDE OF OFFICIAL LABOUR. CHRISTCIIURCH, Tuesday. There is a division of opinion among the official Labour representatives in Christchurch as to whether they will attend any of the receptions to the Prince-of Wales during'his : visit to the city. The Labour Representation Committee reeentlv issuqd- an anti-monarchical manifesto calling on its adherents to take no part in the receptions. Some of the Labour men who occupy public positions will fall into line, while others are a'little uncertain about the matter.
