Mr Lloyd George, speaking at the docks in Marseilles, said he had always appfoached the question of the relationship with France, who was still the champion of liberty of the world, with a feeling of sincerest affection. The war w r as won by the close AngloFrench union, which alone could secure the fruits of victory and maintain the future of civilisation. The AngloFrench must march together.
