In the House of Representative's, Mr W. M. Hughes (Federal Premier) statV ed the conditions under which the Government control of shipping was lifted. There were no ships taken off the cohst without permission, and no increase in fares and freights without submitting stick to the Government. He also said that lie would ask the House to express its opinion on the salaries of Ministers and heads of 31cpartmehts, which were grossly inadequate.
