CLEARING SALE.
The Wairarapa Farmers' Co-opera-tive Association, Ltd., Stock Department, report having held a very successful sale on account of Mr W. K. Matthews, of Carterton. The herd of cows, calving at factory dates, averaged £14 -Is, and the springing heifers £12 f>s. Cows, August culvers. £12 os, £14, £15 to £14 Ifis, £17, £1S to £20; September culvers, do 10s, £12, £lo fis, £14, £l-~ to epi Pis; Shorthorn bull, £1-; bull calves, £g; heifer calves, :'.fe; fat ewes, ells; sow and litter, £i 0 10s; trap horse, illo: spring; cart, £12 :"s; ha}', 4s to - r >s Id a bale; hems, .'is 2<i to 4s Sd each. Implements, and sundries, of which there was a numerous ijiiantiiy, made good prices.
