STRIKE SUPPORTED.
(Received Wednesday, at 10.20 a.m.) LONDON, Mouda*-,
The tube railway stoppage affects all the principal underground railways except the district railway, also the local elevated electric service.
Ou the Brighton line the district railway workers defeated the strike resolution by a small majority.
A joint meeting of the Great Western and Great Central and North-west-ern electric train men at Willosden decided to support the unions, but demanded that tho executive call a national strike if troops are drafted to tho tubes. A trilling matter in dispute refers to the relief time for meals under the eight hours day. The compauies concerned state that the railway executive committee are responsible for the impasse . It is impossible to say how far the decision to strike will be acted upon.
