An eye witneess of Dr Liebkne ht's murder states that the story that Dr Liebkneeht, attempted to escape was sheer falsehood. A Guards officer who was at, the hotel door, and who joined Dr Liebkneeht's military escort, returned fifteen minutes later and said that Dr Liebkneeht was beaten to death with the butt-ends of rilles.
Rosa Luxembourg was also beaten down at the hotel entrance by soldiers and officers, aud not by an enraged crowd.
