SOUTHERN MARKETS
(By Telegraph —Presa Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday.
There is still a little doing in oatsheaf chaff, the price being £5 per ton for prime at country stations. There has been better enquiry for potatoes from Auckland, which is now practically the only market for southern potatoes. Buyers havo been paving £2 7s (.id and £2 10s at country stations, and some have secured supplies at £2 and £2 ss. The difficulty at present is to secure shipping space for tho northern market. There is not a large, quantity of potatoes offering, although supplies are said to bo still fairly plentiful.
