PETER DAWSON.
. Mr Peter Dawson, the famous English baritone and gramaphono artist, will visit Masterton and give a concert in the Town Tall on Tuesday next. He will be supported by his star English company, which has been so successful throughout the North Island. Those who have uot heard Mr Dawson should not fail to take the opportunity of doing so on his coming visit. "Sinco tho days of Santloy no malo singer has so completely captivated the English public as Peter Dawson. Even in thoso prosaic days when 'heroes and hero worship' are regarded as things of tho past, he is as great au idcl of London's popular goers as were the great Santloy and the renowned Sims K'eeves." In these terms au eminent London critic recently described the exalted position, that the world famous baritone, .Air Peter Dawson, to-day occupies. His fine voice, his manliness and bonhomie, and his capital selection of s* ngs, delighted everyone. His resonant voire, his vocal agility, and sense of humour made his performance equal to that of Santloy. Kvery note was golden, and there is something mellow and crisp and hoartsome of the sunshine of his native land in his voice. Mr Dawson gives his first concert in the Town Hall on Tuesday next.
