MISHAP TO MARAMA.
DEPARTURE DELAYED
(By Telegraph —Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Thursday. The Union Steam Ship Company has received advice that the steamer Mari ama grounded slightly when making ■•iSan Francisco Harbour on Wednesday "week, several, plates and frames in the vessel's bottom being buckled. Repairs are being carried out in San FrancißCO, and will occupy about a fortnight. The Marama will therefore be late in leaving for New Zealand, but will pick up the ordinary schedule at Sydney on March 27th. Her mails will be forwarded from Vancouver by tho Niagara, leaving on the 17th inst., and will be about a fortnight late in reaching the Dominion. The mishap is believed to be due to the temporary substitution of : a white light for a red one.
