BREACH OF PROMISE.
When the breach of promise case of Helen Eogers (Mr S. J. Moran) versus John '.llanley (Mr P. L. ITollingp) a. claim for £">(')! damages, was called, leave was asked for a brief adjournment with a view to a settlement. This was granted, and subsequently it wa* announced that plaintiff was prepared to accept, and defendant was agreeable to pay, the sunrof £200. His Honour accordingly entered up judgment for plaintiff for £200, with costs on tho ordinary scale.
