AMBULANCE BRIGADE.
ANNUAL MEETING,
. .The members of the Mast.vrton M branch of the St. John Ambulance Br.----7 gado'held their annual meeting last evening in the Dominion Hall, Mr A. Donald" presiding over a large and representative attendance of members, in eluding dek-gates ffinn the Cartcrtoa and Waingnwa. The annual report was read and adopted. Certificate , .; won during the year wore presented to the successful candidate by the. Mayoress (Mrs J. M. Coradi.no). Miss .Toy was also presented with a Certificate" of Commendation, as she was leaving the Brigade, and had done ■ over five years' valuable service. During the evening an exceedingly ■interesting demonstration of first aid •work was given by the members under the direction of Sergeant-Major Sandham and the lady superintendent, Miss Uillespie. The demonstration ■was hitrhly appreciated by those present, and should be the means of further increasing the popularity of the brigade. At the conclusion of the demon.?<.vatVon Mr J. T. M. Hornsby addressed the ■ajtceting, his remarks being greatly ap'PPeciated, and proving highly interestVotes of thanks were accorded Messrs Hunter, Steel, and Major Samlham for valuable assistance rendered during the soiling, terminating a most, successful Meeting.
