THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURE!.

"BLOODHOUNDS OF THE LAW."

Tho popular picture house of Messrs Thompson-Payne drew crowded houses on Saturday. Tho evening's change included the Lubin Company's latest film masterpiece entitled "Bloodhounds of tlu. Law. The story is a long one, and commands attention from beginning to end. Tho leading parts are taken t>y Miss Isabel Lamon and Mr Romanic Fielding, both of whom excel themselves in this clover film. "The Indian's Gratitude" proved a most popular item, showing how' an Indian rewarded his benefactors. "On the Brink of Ruin" was a clever convict story by the Kalem Company, and showed how ill-luck stuck to a discharged prisoner, and how providence finally rewarded his change for good. Miss Dolly Nicholson proved very fascinating in the idyll entitled "Love Among Roses," and was a special favourite. Tho Selig film entitled "Vengeance is Mine" is a homely portrayal of a family episode. The latest Eclair Journal contained besides the fashions much that was interesting, some of the-items being '' The Crystal Palace Dog Show,'' "Cambridgeshire Stakes," and "The Agricultural Show." A number of interesting comedies were included in "Who is the Goat" (Crystal), "Back Soon," and "Cops and Cowboys." This is an excellent programme in every respect, and should draw another large audience to-night.
