MURDER OF A PEASANT.
CASE RE-OPENED

The Public Prosecutor at Elberfeld has re-opened the inquiry concerning Frau Hamra, who was (sentenced in 1908 to long imprisonment for the murder of her husband, a peasant farmer.
The conviction was based on the report of a Police Commissary at Berlin, who has sinco left the service, and whose methods the authorities severely criticised.
It is now believed that the man was murdered by a burglar.
