PERSONAL MATTERS.

Mr Donald Donald and Mr Owen, of: Sydney, have arrived in Masterton after an* enjoyable trip to Rotorua. Mr G. R*. Sykes, M.P., accompanied by Mrs Sykes, will leave Masterton next Monday for Dunedin. They will be members of the Parliamentary party which will make a tour of Otago this month. An invitation has been received by Mr G. R. Sykes, M.P., from the Southland A. and P. Association and the Invercargill Chamber of Commerce, to make one of a parliamentary party which those bodies intend to take on a motor car tour through Southland this month. Mr Sykes has accepted the invitation. The engagement is announced of Miss Emily Geraldine Rattray, eldest daughter of Rev. Jas. Rattray, Pongaroa, to Mr Frank A. Moech, also of Pongaroa. Owing to Mr Rattray's impending departure to his new appointment at Springburn, Canterbury, the wedding will take place at an early date at Pongaroa.
