Tlio Now Zoalaml Loan aud Morcantilo Agency Co., Ltd., report on their Sohvay saio yesterday:—Thero was a good yarding of both slieop and cattle, and ii good attendance of buyers. Competition was again keen, and we sold nearly every lot muter the ham- f mer at prices well up to previous*! sales. Forward lambs brought from 8s to 10s '2d; medium, <">s (!d to 7s t)cl; backward sorts, lis (id to <is; empty ewes, os J)d to S)s (id: full mouth ewes in lamb, lis 2d* *3-tooth ewes, 10s Id: wethers, 10s :kl to Ms; weaner calves, £2 -2s to £2 12s (id, the latter price being for a nice line of KSO from Messrs Percy Bros. Yearling steers, m l?s (id; cows in calf, £7 10s to £\). Messrs Abraham and Williams report:—On Wednesday, at tho Masterton stool, sale, we offered a very large entry of cattle and a small one of sheep, and havo to report a good sale, only one pen being turned out unsold. Fat ami forward ewes mado lis 3d, cull lambs 5s (id to 7s (id. A nice line of weaners offered on behalf of Pike ' Bros, made £2 10s, weaners £2 15s to £2 Kis, fat heifers £(> 2s to ■£('» as, fat bullocks £8 10s to £0, dairy cows to £12. WAIPOUA YARDS. Messrs James Macintosh and Co. report on their Waipoua sale on Wednesday, Ist May. as follows:—Wo had a fair yarding of sheep and about 100 head of cattle. All sheep met with keen demand, and were all disposed of under tho hammer. Cattle of all classes were yarded, and were more dull of sale than lately, but any lines passed at action were dealt with privately afterwards. The following are some of the prices realised :-—Fat and forward lambs, JJ s 4d; forward j blackface lambs, 8s <»d to !>s Id; woolly lambs, Ssßd: forward empty ewes, Ss | 2d, !)s, 10s to lis 7d, f.m. owes in I lamb, 10s lOd; cull ewes, (is to (is Od; 2-tooth wethers, lis 3d: 3-year steers, £5 las to £5 Kis; cows in calf, £3 (is to £4; 18-months heifers, £3; weaner calves, 20s to 37s (id; weaners, Os to 7s; slips, 14s.
