VISIT TO MASTERTON.
The Hon. J. A. Hanan, Minister of Education, accompanied by his private secretary and by Mr R. Loo, chairman of the Wellington Board of Education, arrived in Masterton this morning, and was met at the railway station by tho Mayor (Mr J. M. Coradine) tho member for the district (Mr G. R. Sykes), tho local members of the Education Board (Messrs A. W. Hogg and A. H. Vile), the chairman (Mr R. Brown) and members of tho School Committee. The Minister was driven to the Club Hotol, where ho was entertained at luncheon by the -School Committee. Subsequently lie was taken for a motor drive through the town. This afternoon Mr Hanan opened the new Assembly Hall at the District High School. Tho Minister will return to Wellington by tho first train to-morrow morning.
