The local Club's green was well patronised on Saturday last, and the following competitions were played : — Championship Pairs. —Dupreand Inder 2a, beat Robsou and Hollings 17 : Beale and Lawrence 24, beat Hunter and Harrison 12. Champion SmgJes. — Archer 21, beat Cameron 19; Raukin 2!5, beat Ewington 14. Handicap Singles.—Wilkes (scrj 21, beat Harrison (2,) 20. Handicap Pairs. —Daniel and Perry (4,) beat Hendry and Wilkes (4,) 15; Beale and O." Praguell (3,) 2<>, beat E. Pragneil and Lawrence (4.) 13. Daniel and Perry have now won the Thursday competition for Handicap Pairs, and Beale and O. Pragneil the. Saturday competition. The final will probably be played on Tlrarsday next, when, an interesting game should result.
