Press Association—Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received Thursday, at 9.40 a.m. CALCUTTA, Wednesday. Admiral Slade'e forco, which four weeks ago was despatched to the Persian Gulf to stop gun-running to Afghanistan through Persia, has made a fruitless search.
The Arab gun-runners had been warned of the coming of the Biitish, and had made preparations accordingly.
