FOOTBALL.
The Masterton Club held a meeting in the Y. M.O. A. Rooms last evening, when three teams to play Red Stars in practice matches on Saturday were selected. If there had been any doubt of the Masterton Club being atile to put three teams in the iield, it was dispelled last night, when the Selection Committee had over sixty names put forward. The teams selected wore as follows :—
Senior.—Yates. Apperley, Miuett, U. Thompson, A. Thompson, Hanley, Waugh, H. Gibbs, Thompson, Bealing, P. McLachau, Murphy. McLachlau, Billington. Dixou.
Junior.—A. Pauling, W. White, R. Morris, Montgomery. Jones, Melntosh, Johns, Norman, McHactie, Wagg, McKay, Moersi'h, Cameron, Kite, Muuu, Hannister, Wilton, Waterworth.
Third - class. — Perry, Ewiugton, Baillie. D. Welch, Boyd. Han ley, Btmtley, Fly, Shackleton, Bannister, Moore, Terry, O'Brien, Bryant, Diggins, Yates, Langdon, Cairns and Galyer.
Several old players who are at present out of the district will probably join the Club before the season is far advanced.
