After some evidence had been given iv the Houudsditch murder trial, Judge Grantham advised the Orowu to withdraw its charge, of beiug accessories after the fact, against Peters, Dubof aud Vas.sill.va.
Judge Grautham remarked that the Crown must show that an accessory knew that a murder had been committed. It is was doubtful whether it could be proved that the prisoners were escaping from justice.
