Abraham aud Williams, Ltd., report as follows:—Ou Monday, at Woodville, we had a good yarding of both sheep aud cattie, submitted to a large attendance. Prices for sheep were not quite up to late rates, but we sold practically everything. All the cattle were sold at fair values. Quotations : — Two-tooth wethers 12s 6d, woolly lambs 7s Id to 7s sd, shorn lambs os lOd to 6s Gd. three-year steers £4 ISs Gd to £5 8s Od, fat cows £4 6s to £5, empty cows £2 19s 6d to £4, dairy cows'to £5 10s. heifers in calf £3 lis to £3 14s, good weaver heifers 34s to £2 9s, mixed weaners 24s to 31s (id, bulls £2 17s to £4. The inquiry for sheep was very limited, the bulk of the entry not meeting vendors' anticipations. Cattle did not sell as well as at late sales, although a fair clearance was made at slightly reduced values. Quotations:—Four-tooth wethers 12s 3d, two-tooth wethers 10s 9d to lis 3d, forward ewes 8s 5d to 9s Id, two-tooth ewes 12a 3d, stoic ewes 4s to 4s 9d, good woolly lambs 9s 4d to 10s Id, good shorn lambs to Bs, medium Jambs 4s 3d to os 10:1, three year steers £4 17s to £5 3s fid, two-year steers £3 19s to £4 ss, eighteen-months steers £2 10s to £2 16s, fat cows £4 5s to £4 17s Gd, empty cows £2 lOs to £3 7s, weaners 29s to 345, bulls £3 to £4.
