Socialism is beginning to be recognised as a great force in German politics. At a recent by-election at Eiseubach, the Socialist candidate had an absolute majority over both his two competitors, a Liberal and a Conservative. This is the third byelection in which the Socialists have been successful, and a Berlin paper predicts a great revival of Socialism, which will sweop the country ;tt the next General Election. Nowhere in the world does Socialism appear to he making such advances as iv Germany.
