PERSONAL MATTERS.
Mr and Mrs H. R. Bunny, of "Ahiaruhe," are visitors to Masterton to-day. Mrs J. Tatham, of HomewoocSf East Coast, are staying at "Brooklyn." Masterton. Mr and Mrs F. Mauusell, of Lansdowne, on Monday returned from a motoring trip to Napier. They arrived at Napier just in time to escape the violent wind storm experienced last week. The Bishop of Welliugtou paid a brief visit to Masterton this week, when he was the guest of Mr W. H. Beetham. Two Masterton residents are leaving to-day, iv their motor cars, on a trip over the Rimutaka.
Miss Ola Humphrey underwent ar operation for appendicitis in Loudon recently, but is now out of danger. Her dramatic sketch, "I Dme With My Mother," at the Palace, in which her clever acting interpreted to the full the dainty charm of the production, was unfortunately intercepted in ats full success by her sudden illness.
