MASTERTON RACING CLUB'S AUTUMN MEETING.
To-morrow will sea the inauguration of another autumn gathering under the auspices of tiie Masterton Racing Club. Giveu fiuo weather a most successful meeting may be coufideutly expected. First rate acceptances, "both as regartls the number and quality of the contestants, have been received, aud there promises to bo some excellent racing. Most of the visiting horses put iv au appearance at Opaki this moruiug. aud the training track bore quite an animated appoarauce. Just vow tho Opaki course is iv really spleudid order. Recent form .should be of great assistance iv helping backers to select winners. Tho first race each day will be run at 12.30 p.m. Iv addition to the ordinary train service to Opaki, at 12.10 p.m., a special train will leave Mastertou at 10.57 am. Return traius will leave the Opaki sidiug at (5 5 p.m. Quito a large demand for accommodation for intending visitors has set in, aud as the catering will be uuder the suporvisiou of Mr Shout, tho public: may rely upou beiug well looked after.
