WELLINGTON, This Day
A prominent local L:ibour leader, Mr J. Reardou, was charged at the Police Court, to-day, -with assaulting James A. Purchas. The assault was tho result of a difference of opinion at a recent meeting of the Titides Council. Reardou pleaded guilty, his counsel pleading extenuation on ac couut of provocation received. Ho was fined 10s.
