HIGH PRICES FOR DAIRY COWS
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held a successful clearing sale at Otaki on Wednesday, on account of Mr F. H. Best. There Avas a large attendance of buyers, aud competition for every lot Avas keen. The whole herd of dairy coavs averaged £G Is. Some of the highest prices were as follows:—£10 2s 6d, £9 7 S 6d, £8 2s 6d, £8, £7 17s, £7. 155,,£7 12s : 6d, £7 ss, and £7; bulls from £3.15s to £4, t\vo-year-old heifers £2 ss, yearling heifers 22s 6d, farmers' draught mare £19, yearling draught gelding £10 10s, children's pony £5, spring dray and harness £23, old : block dray ,'£s, sundries at'full market races. ■ -i ; . i
