Sir Joseph Ward informs the Press that he has made representations, through the Governors aud also the American Consul-General, inviting the Americau fleet to visit New Zealand. He adds that, in his opinion, all would be delighted to see the fleet iv New Z.ealaud waters, and that if there were anything that could be done to make the visit eujoyable to officers and men, it would be cheerfully done, not only by the Government, but by the people of tho Dominion.
