FIRE IN WELLINGTON.
MR E. ARNOLD'S FACTORY
DESTROYED
A private telegram, received from Wellington this morning, states that the factory belonging to Mr Edwin Arnold, basket and perambulator manufacturer, of Willis-street, has been totally destroyed by fire. No information about insurauces has come to hand, but Mr Arnold says he is a heavy loser. The factory was in a lane, some distance away from the shop. It has been in constaut work for years, and besides employing a considerable number of men and youths, contained a good deal of valuable plant.
