For Ceylon, ludia, China, Straits Settlements, South Africa, also Continent of Europe and United Kingdom, via Brindisi (due London 25th January), also for Australian States (clue Sydney 24th December), per Moeraki, (5.15 a.m. For Southern Offices of New Zealand, also Australian States, to connect with Warrinioo at Bluff, 6.15 a.m. SATURDAY, 21st DECEMBER. For New Plymouth and Auckland, also Australian States, to connect with Mokoia at Auckland, per Mauawatu train, 5.30 a.m. The next despatch for Canada and United States of America will leave Wellington by Manawatu train on Tuesday, 24th December, to connect with Hauroto at Auckland. Mails close at Masterton 5.30 a.m. The next best despatch for the Continent of Europe and United Kingdom will be via Brindisi, leaving Wellington by Moeraki on Friday, 20th December (due London 25th January, 1908.) Mails close at Masterton 6.15 a.m.
The new postal regulations came into force on Ist October. Rates of postage on letters and letter-cards addressed to places beyond New Zealand are as follows:—To"the United Kingdom, British possessions, and countries named in postal guide, Id for each ounce or fraction thereof, instead of, as formerly, for each half-ounce. To all other places, 2%i\. for the first ounce, and for each succeeding ounce or fraction thereof, instead of 2%d for each half -ounce or fraction thereof.
