On page 10 of this issue, Mr 0. O. Aifcken, bookseller and stationer, draws attention to a large number of the latest books of knowledge which he has on sale at low prices. The list includes technical books, for all trades and professions by the best writers, useful hand-books, pocket classics, dictionaries, Dr Gunn's "New Family Physician," etc. • Most of the books enumerated are not obtainable elsewhere, Mr Aitken has had a lengthy experience in the book and stationery business, and has therefore ihe required knowledge to keep his stock well selected and thoroughly op-to* date. He has also arrangements existing with the leading publishers to keep him supplied with all the latest books, and patrons can, therefore, obtain new books of any merit as soon at this establishment as at any of the largest houses rh the Dominion. A well-chosen stock of leather goods, writing desks, silver-backed hair brushes, and combs, ladies' companions, purses, handbags, etc., is always carried, and in the lines Mr Aitken guarantees to give customers exceptionally good value. Post cards also receive special atteution. Toys for the Christmas trade are now on order, and will shortly be opened up in great variety.
