For New Plymouth and Auckland, also Australian States, to connect; with Manuka at Auckland, per Manawatu train, 5.30 a.m.
For Picton, Blenheim, Nelson, Westport, Greyrnouth, and Hokitika, 6.15 a.m.
For Southern Offices or New Zealand, also Australian States, to connect with Malieno at Bluff, 6.15 a.m.
The next despatcli for Canada and United States of Amercia will leave Masterton by Manawatu train on Tuesday, 2(3th November, to connect with Manapouri at Auckland. Mails close at Masterton 5.80 a.m.
The new postal regulations came into force on Ist October. Rates of postage on letters and tetter-cards addressed to places beyond New Zealand are as follows:—To the United Kingdom, British possessions, and countries named in postal guide, Id for each ounce or fraction thereof, instead of, as formerly, for each half-ounce. To all other places, 2)£d for the first ounce, and for each succeeding ounce or fraction thereof, instead of 2%d for each. half-ounce or fraction thereof.
