London, Last Night.

The wool catalogued represented 118,800 bale 3. Of this quantity there were sold to Home buyers, 50,000 bales ; to Continental buyers, 47,000 bales ; to the United States, 8000 bales ; 3000 bales were held over.

Compared with opening rates, the values of best and faulty were fairly well maintained; medium sorts were slightly weaker. Crossbred fetched fancy prices throughout and closed at from 10 to 15 per cent, above September rates.

The tone of the market throughout was strong in all lines submitted.
