Pahiatua Stock Sale.
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report :—At our weekly Pahiatua sale, yesterday, stock came forward in considerable ex cess of advertised numbers, especially in respect to sheep. Keen competition took place for the latter, almost a total clearance being effected before the close of the sale. Cattle made late values. We quote: —Shorn aged ewes, 12s 7d to 14s 3d; shorn 2 tooths, 13s 8d; shorn 2-th wethers, 133; woolly hoggets, 17s 3d; ewes and lambs, 21s 9d; fat cows, £4 2s; empty heifers, 395; 3 and 4yr steers, £4 15s to £4 18s ; weaners, 20s.
