HOCKEY.

• A practice match is to be played at Lansdowne on Thursday between the Kia Kaha A and B teams, which are as folloAv *.— A team : Jago, Hughes, Anderson, Hendry, Williams, Truscott, Donald, Thynne, McLean, L. Hooper, Messeuger. B team : McLaren, Gully, Hatch, Nicol, Carley, Tooby, Hyde, Walker, Olds, Baker, N. Hooper, Taylor. A match is to be played to-morrow between the Raupo and Featherston Clubs (ladies). Raupo team:—Goalkeeper, Miss B. Easthope; full-backs, Misses Judd, Spackman and Berriman; forwards, Misses Wintringham, Dean, Judd, Carmichael and V. Carpenter ; emergencies, Misses M. Moore and W. Carpenter. Featherston :— Misses M. Aitchison, G. Walker, L. Skipage, H. Cummings, I. Fuge, W. and A. Cundy, E. Barr, F. Williams, I. Sheen and I. Benton (captain). The local Club are making arrangements to entertain the visitors at afternoon tea in the Methodist Schoolroom after the match. All members are invited to be present. A meeting of the St. Matthew's Ladies' Hockey Club was held last evening, when it was decided to change the name of the Club to " Huia" ; also changing their colours from red and white to black and Avhite. - A team will be picked from the folloAv ing to represent the Huia (late St. Matthew's) Club in a match with the Glengarry (ladies) Club, to be played at Lansdowne to-morrow: —Misses G. Gardiner, M. Sutton, D. La Roche, F. Winzenberg, M. Hampton, E. Smith, L. Barker, M. Smith, M. Wagg, N. Hooper, H. Berry, E. Mitchell," and R. Hooper. Play will commence at 3.30 o'clock sharp.
