EGG-LAYING COMPETITION.

Blenheim, Last Night,
The total for the thirty-second week of the New Zealand Egg-laying Competition was 2027, the grand aggregate now being 58,502, and the weekly average per pen 20.27. The highest layings for the week are:—Ash worth's Silver Wyandottes, Alexandra, 36; MarJborough A. and P. Association's White Leghorns, 33; Lloyd Hickman's Brown Leghorns, Balclair, 32 ; Miss Lynn Edwards' White Leghorns, Blenheim, 32 ; Havvko's Silver Wyandotles, Greytown, 30; Aldridge's White Leghorns, Blenheim, 30. The order of the grand aggregates now runs as follows, the first five pens being White Leghorns:—Leger, of Levin, 929 ; Brookes, of South Australia, 843; Marlborough A. and P. Association, 829 ; Mick Shaw, of Blenheim, 815 ; Jonathan Hodson, of Blenheim, 791; Ashworth's Silver Wyandottes, Alexandra, 755. There are now about ninety broody hens.
