An accident befell the Transport Coaching Company's coach on the way to Tikitere to-day. When within a short distance of Tikitere, it met another coach with four horses. On seeing the coach approach, the leader of the Transport coach turned completely round and ascended a bank. This upset the coach, and the passengers were thrown on to the road. Five were on board. None were hurt.
Dargavillb, Friday.
A serious accident occurred in the Tutamoe Bush yesterday. A bushman, named Peter Coburn, was taking down two kauri logs on a truck, when the inside rail of the line broke, and the logs rolled over Coburn. It took twenty-two men five hours to carry the sufferer over the roads to Maropui. In many places the men were waist-deep in mud and slush. Coburn was taken to the Northern Wairoa Hospital, where it was found that he had been injured internally.
