Christchurch, Yesterday.

The weekly review of the Exhibition states North Otago has taken up the project enthusiastically. It has been decided by the executive that Mr Pollard shall take charge of the entertainments. The recommendations of the committee re band contests were adopted. It was decided that the ceremony of laying the foundation stone take place on Anniversary Day (December 18th), also to engage a permanent orchestra. At a conference of shipping companies and the Transport Committee with regard to transport, it was decided to appoint a travelling representative to work up the outlying districts so as to secure a representative display of New Zealand manufactures.
