CARTERTON NOTES.
(Special to Daily Times.)
- The local Bowling Green is to be opened to-day (Thursday) with a match President v. Vice-President. Invitations to take part in the opening have been sent to Masterton, Greytown and Featherston, and been accepted. The Green is in capital order. The local ladies' and gents' Hockey Club hold a social this evening (Thursday) to r.elebrate the wind-up of the season. The " A " team, who won the championship, are to have the Major Cup presented to them.
Mr H. Savage, of Wellington, is among the visitors to Carterton at present.
A large staff of men are at present preparing the local show grounds for the forthcoming Show.
