(Received To-day, at 12.13 a.m.) London, Last Night. The sixth wicket fell at 199, Denton disposing of Hopkins by a fine catch in longfield. The seventh neket went down at 238, and the eighth at, 272. Hill completed his century in two hours 35 minutes. He played a splendid innings, including twenty-four fourers. His innings was terminated by a fine running catch by Denton at third man. Hill and Layer added 101 for the ninth wicket. Additional scores are : — Australia. —First Innings.
