MINING ACCIDENT.
Three Men injured

A serious mining accident occurred in the • Waitohi mine. Three men named James Jenkins, William McConnell, and Vercoe were working in a drive. Having put in two shots, they waited -for . them to explode. One missed fire. When the' men returned to work it went'oft'.: All three are more or less injured. It is feared Jenkins , eyesight is- affected, and he has sustained other injuries, but he will probably recover. McConnell is badly cut, but is in no immediate danger. Vercoe's injuries are only slight. ,
