Won easily by twelve lengths. Time, smin 13sec. Dividends, £9 and 18s. Progressive Handicap (harness), 2 miles.—Mambrino King 1, Uissie Wood 2, Edward 3. Also started Zeppa, Wild Flowers, General Mac, Larry 11., Victor Hugo. Won by six lengths. Time, smin 16 3-ssec. Won by 12 lengths. Time, smin 3 1 ssec. Dividends, £7 7s and £1 10s. Midwinter Handicap (harness), 2 miles.—Vickery 1, Imperialism 2, Black Child 3. Also started—Boldwood, Novice, Monte Carlo, Lancewobd 11., and General Lincoln. General Lincoln lost ground at the start, and Imperialism established a strong lead, with Laricewood 11. nearest. At the six-furlong post Vickery was within six lengths of the leader, with Black Child a similar distance away. The three were almost on terms entering the straight, but Black Child broke, and Vickery just got up, beating Imperialism by a head. Time, 4min 54sec.
